Policies and Procedures for Substantive Change

Saint John Vianney College Seminary is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). As such, Saint John Vianney College Seminary (SJVCS) is required to send a written notification or receive written approval prior to the implementation of any type of substantive change.

The different types of substantive change, the specific procedure to be used for each, and the reporting time can be found in the following SACSCOC Chart.

To comply with SACSCOC guidelines, only the CEO and the SACSCOC institutional liaison may submit substantive changes. As per SJVCS Faculty Handbook (3.3.2), the Academic Dean serves as the institutional liaison to SACS COC.

Written proposals for substantive change must be sent to the Institutional Liaison and/or CEO of the Institution, prior to being submitted to SACS..
